Review: Dragon Ball Episode 2 - The Emperor's Quest

Goku sees a TV for the first time!
Poor Shu!
Ahh remember the good ol' days of Dragon Ball before there were super saiyans and villains stronger and more of a threat. DB was such a classic and was enjoyable. I will be reviewing the second episode. It starts out with Bulma riding a motorcycle with Goku then she gets a throws a capsule and a house appears. Goku gets so shocked and thinks the house is a monster, and remember in DB Goku was pretty stupid because he hit his head as a child which was revealed in Dragon Ball Z. This episode also marks the first time when Goku ever saw a TV. If you thought Bulma wasn't a pedophile already for taking that boy with her at the beginning get this - She gives him a bath! Everyone Goku has been around since pre- Dragon Ball to this episode acts like a dirty pedophile. First was that old man Gohan now her. Poor Goku. But technically Goku doesn't know how to take a bath and Bulma kind of had to. But Goku could just go out and swim in a pond like he does in Ep. 30. Well technically Ep.30 was a filler episode and filler episodes change the story a lot compared to the episodes based off the manga. And Goku's penis was covered up by a stool in the Ocean Dub. Then Bulma decides to take a bath. Goku then sees her naked in the tub. Then Bulma does some bitchy drama and next we see a filler scene      with Emperor Pilaf. Pilaf yells at Shu and complains on how much he wants the dragon balls to gain leadership of the world. Then Pilaf farts and blames Shu for his OWN gas and tortures the poor Japanese dog! Shu always gets picked on and yelled at by that little smurf, but it sure makes him look really threatening and evil in this episode, while really he's not. Then Mai comes in and informs Pilaf that there was a glowing red light at Skull Valley, so Pilaf sends Shu and Mai to investigate. Goku then goes to get some dinner for himself because he is disgusted by normal food Bulma served. Goku gets a centipede and sees Shu and Mai's plane and thinks it's a bird- really Goku? By the way all the scenes with Pilaf and his gang in this episode are non cannon it never happened in the manga- Pilaf and his agents really didn't appear until the time when the dragon balls were stolen in the manga. But it is his saga so they wanted him to make a larger appearance. It turns out the red light was from a pack of wolves. The wolves attack Goku, Shu, and Mai. Shu and Mai chicken out but Goku fights the wolves and when he's done he kicks the plane and realizes he can't eat it. Goku then brings the centipede and a wolf to the capsule home and Bulma is disgusted. They go to bed then. Now it's all your favorite moment the "No Balls" scene!! Goku realizes Bulma doesn't have a male genitalia and he takes her underwear. This scene was removed from the Ocean Dub. After some Bulma drama it is then morning and Goku feels the urge to attack rocks. He picks one rock up which is really a turtle- which is significantly larger than Goku than usual. The turtle explains he lives on the beach and needs to go back. So Goku decides to be helpful and help the turtle get back on the beach while Bulma is being a spoiled bitchy brat. But then Bulma is scared of a dinosaur and comes along with Goku and the Turtle. Bulma is so fucking selfish! All she cares about is herself. Then that ends the episode

Wolves surrounds Shu and Mai
Grade: A
Why?: It is a classic episode! It had cool fillers, and some hilarious humor. There was a error though like the turtle was significantly larger than Goku, animators make mistakes they're human. But still it was a very good, classic and humorous episode!
